Check Point Research's cybersecurity specialists have learned of a fresh malware campaign that targets Android users in East Asia.
Threat actors created mobile apps for the campaign that looked like real solutions and attempted to fool users into downloading them.
Those who fall for the ruse end up handing the hackers sensitive personal
information like passwords and financial information (opens in new tab).
The malware was given the name "FluHorse" by the researchers, who said its operators had been active for a year.
